And This One's For You Hosted on
ZooomrSo last night I went and saw Blades of Glory. It was absolutely hilarious, and I think everyone should go out and see it. While I was waiting high as a kite, the new
Spider-Man 3 preview came on. Seriously, I can't wait until the movie comes out. I'm more excited for it then Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. The preview just makes the movie look rediculously epic. Like it's going to be amazing. I mean, I saw 300,
met the director, and I was definitely excited for that. But seeing it made me realize that because I got so excited and watched the trailer like 2 times a day made my expectations way too high. Don't get me wrong it was incredible, but it wasn't
that incredible.
When the year started, I began to get cautious. I began to think that 2007 might be filled with terrible movies because the first few were really terrible. The movies that were coming out left and right throughout the end of 2006 were just incredible. The Departed, Blood Diamond, The Last King of Scotland, Notes on a Scandal, Children of Mean, The Prestige, Pan's Labyrinth, Apocolypto. These were all such amazing films, I couldn't imagine how movies could really get better. But, thankfully, in the past couple of weeks I have been incredibly impressed by how good the movies have been. I saw Reign Over Me which was truly beautiful. The last movie that I saw that was literally beautiful was the Fountain. The Fountain had a divine score and was just a really mind blowing idea. I know some people really feel that the movie was a waste of time and that it was Darren Aronofsky worst film, blah blah blah blah. Whatever, the movie was absolutely fantastic and had an incredible underlying meaning within the movie. Reign Over Me was just the same, it made me literally cry my eyes out. I never cried that much in a movie, but Reign Over Me really just affected me. Adam Sandler and Don Cheadle were such a great pair and added the perfect amount of emotion and comedy within a really emotionally driven and passionate film.
This post is supposed to be about the Spider-Man 3 trailer I saw last night. So, I feel that this movie is going to be so awesome. I mean if you watch the trailer, you can see that there are going to be three different plots in the story. One being how Harry still wants revenge for what Peter did to his father. Two Peter's obvious problems with the Venom suit and Eddie Brock. Three being Peter's relationship with Mary Jane. And I'm sure there are tons of other little things going on in the movie like school and his grandmother. I'm curious to see how Sandman fits into the movie because it has such a small part in the trailer and there already seems to be sooooo much stuff going on in the movie I don't know how they will push him into the movie. I didn't follow the comics religously when I was a child, so I don't know all the details of everything within the Spider-Man world. But either way, I'm really excited and can't wait to see it.
